Special Leave of Absence Request

In order to provide a good education to the students at Kennedy School we hope that parents would not withdraw their children from school during term time. Please note that a prolonged absence from school might result in the student being removed from the school roll and their place offered to another child.

Please inform your child's class teacher as well as admissions@kennedy.edu.hk of any planned absences for your child.

Absence of Parents from Hong Kong

If both parents plan to leave Hong Kong on a business trip or holiday during term time, they must inform the school and fill in an ‘Absence or Parents from Hong Kong' form which includes information regarding guardianship and contacts. A domestic helper may not act as guardian. It is important for the school to know about parents’ absences as it helps the school in understanding and working with your child.

Please complete the form below and return it to the school office.

Student Withdrawal Notice

Please download and complete the Student Withdrawal Notice should you plan to withdraw your child. The notice should be returned to the Admissions Office in school via email at admissions@kennedy.edu.hk at least ONE MONTH prior to the last date of attendance.

Please also refer to the Student Withdrawal section on the Admissions Procedure page regarding the school's policy on withdrawals.

School Transfer Form

If you are planning to move to another ESF school area and would like to transfer your child to another ESF primary school, you are required to complete the ‘School Transfer Form’ and return it to the Admissions Officer of the transferring school with a proof of address.

A completed Medical Authorization Form must be submitted to the school before any medication can be administered.

Parent Volunteer Essential Agreement

We really value parent volunteers who help in our classrooms and on trips. It is always great to see parents donating their time to our students and the school.

If you are coming into our classrooms or trips, we now need you to sign a parent volunteer essential agreement. The form is available below or at our front desk in the office. You will only need to sign the form once.

This essential agreement is an understanding between all parties to make the role of a parent volunteer more clear.
As a Parent Volunteer you agree to:

•      Support the teacher to maintain routines.
•      Encourage independence.
•      Encourage children to be risk takers and try new things.
•      Follow directions from teaching staff who may need support in specific areas.
•      Be flexible.
•      Discuss concerns you may have with the class teacher.
•      Help ALL children in the classroom.
•      Maintain confidentiality for all children.
•      Have fun!
